# Eras

Eras in Two Moons follow the evolution and expansion of the universe.

We are in the first era of **Asgard**.  

As new gameplay modules are designed and released, the era will change.  

Any on-chain generation algorithms will only change with a new Era, and ideally the website will maintain backwards compatibility with older Eras so players are able to migrate as they are ready.  

Era's do not have a set length and may be very long periods of time or very short - this is dependent on scope of the changes released as well as community feedback.
